Grounds for good
It all begins with the soil at T+H Farms – healthy, nutrient rich, and ripe for growing. From that soil, everything else follows — strong grasses, healthy animals, and thriving crops. Cattle, hens, bees, and produce are the daily rhythm of the farm.
Year round, we travel to the market in Houston and Austin to share the bounty from the farm with you.
Farm fresh flavors
We’re proud to partner with the chefs at Tiny Boxwoods and Tiny’s No 5, to stock their kitchen with pasture raised beef, farm fresh eggs and just-harvested produce from our market garden. Visit Tiny’s in Houston or Austin to enjoy fresh flavors from the farm, or come see us at the market to bring beauty and flavor to your own table.
Beautiful cuts of our beef, and our pantry essentials are always stocked at Thompson + Hanson Stone House in River Oaks and Garden House in Kerbey Lane Village, and you can purchase our pantry essentials in their online T+H Grocery.
E-mail Farmer Clark for special orders, or to inquire about Whole, Half or Quarter shares of beef.
BEEF & EGGSAt T+H Farms, our cattle and hens roam the open pasture, grazing the seasonal forage and wildflowers, without any herbicides or pesticides. The result is deeply flavorful, tender beef and eggs brimming with nutrition. With a wide variety of cuts – premium steaks, roasts, ground beef, and more – you’ll have everything you need for countless meals, while supporting local, regenerative farming. This is food raised with intention and crafted for gathering around the table.
PANTRY ESSENTIALS Healthful staples, minimally processed and jarred right here at the farm. Our bone broth, tallow and raw honey are raised and a produced in a way we can stand behind, to enhance health and wellbeing.
FRESH PRODUCEEvery season brings a new crop to T+H Farms, and we bring it to you in our weekly market in West U! Freshly harvested from our market gardens’ healthful soil, our carrots, kale, beets, greens, tomatoes, and more, our produce is farmed with love and care, right here in La Grange
Food for thought
Good food begins with good stewardship of the land. Our farm is built around practices that prioritize soil health, animal welfare, and long-term sustainability.
At T+H Farms, we focus on smaller-scale methods that allow us to remain closely connected to the land and the animals we care for. This means working by hand when possible, rotating animals across pasture, and producing food in ways that improve the farm year after year.
These principles guide how we grow vegetables, raise cattle, and care for our hens.
GOOD GRASS, GOOD BEEFOur pasture management relies on regenerative agriculture practices such as rotational grazing, no heavy tillage, and no chemical herbicides or pesticides. The cattle are 50% akaushi and wagyu steers born in Texas and raised on pasture their entire lives. Never in a feed lot, never confined. We produce both grain and grass-finished beef. When finishing on grain for 90-120 days, the herd has access to a bulk feeder in the fields, ensuring they still have ample acreage to forage
MARKET GARDEN We produce vegetables, herbs, and fruits from 20,000 square feet of market gardens between Houston and La Grange. Market gardening is a method of food production that focuses on soil health, organic practices (we never use chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides), and no heavy machinery. From just under 100 permanent field beds we plant, cultivate, and harvest by hand over 20 varieties of vegetables throughout the entire year. Whether its greens and roots during our mild Texas winters, or heirloom tomatoes, okra, and basil in the spring / summer, we harvest 52 weeks out of the year.
HAPPY HENSOur hens spend their lives in mobile pasture coops that are seasonally moved around the farm for best conditions. In early spring and fall they move multiple times each week behind our cattle in the open pastures. In the peak of Texas summer we move them into shady areas around the farm. In winter months we ensure they have wind protection and supplemental lighting. Alongside the foraged insects, grass, and garden scraps, we supplement their diet with certified organic, non-GMO, and soy free grain.
We’re bringing the farm to the neighborhood! Expect a little bit of everything — farm-fresh eggs, organic produce, pasture-raised meats, baked goods from Milk & Cookies, breakfast tacos from Tiny’s, and homemade jams. Come by, sip your coffee, and make a morning of it!
