January 2026
2026 is off to a cold start! The past week at the farm has been all about freeze preparation — draining water lines, tending to livestock needs, and covering garden beds. It’s a lot of work to get everything buttoned up, but it’s well worth the effort to protect the crops and keep the chickens and cows comfortable.
We’re grateful to have such a dedicated steward in Vanessa, who’s been making multiple checks each day to break ice in water troughs and ensure the animals have plenty to eat. While these cold snaps can be tough, we’re thankful to be in Texas, where they only come around a few times each year.
Beyond the freeze, we’ve also been having some great conversations as a team about the season ahead. Stay tuned this spring for exciting updates. More markets, new products, and engaging events are on the way!
